All Safari National Parks in Tanzania
Tanzania is an East African country known for its vast wilderness areas. Almost 40% of its surface has been declared as national parks. The various areas include the plains of famous Serengeti National Park, a safari mecca populated by the “big five” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino). Tanzania is also home to the Great Migration, when 1.5 million wildebeest leave the dry lands, following the rains in search of green pastures in Maasai Mara in Kenya. This is one of the greatest natural events on the planet as you can witness predators following the herds in a truly breath taking spectacle. Please read here to find out about the best time for safari in Tanzania. While the Serengeti can be visited all year around, the best time to witness the Great Migration is in January & February and between August and October.
