A stunning three days of wildlife wonders starts in Arusha and takes in the ‘classic’ destinations of Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park.
Lion and cheetah, elephants and buffalo, as well as fascinating birdlife, all in incredible environments, provide the highlights with your own private vehicle to enjoy your wonderful experiences from the beginning till the end of your trip.
This relatively short safari can be a great addition before or after your Kilimanjaro hike or Mount Meru hike. It will take you to the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit in Tanzania to let you enjoy the remarkable wildlife and beauty that Tanzania has to offer.
Accommodation: Travelers will be sleeping on beautiful campsites. Upgrades to lodges can be made on request.
Today we drive to Lake Manyara National Park, for excellent game viewing. This special environment is the perfect habitat for elephants, hippos and millions of flamingos.
You will also spot the famous tree-climbing lions, waiting for their prey while escaping from the heat. The national park is the ideal place to start your safari and to get insights in the amazing flora and fauna that the Northern Safari Circuits beholds.
After an entire day on safari, we will arrive at our camp for overnight and to enjoy the beautiful sunset over Lake Manyara.

We start the day with an early morning game drive before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a special place in that it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park; this means that the whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Masai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. During the drive in Ngorongoro we have a chance to glimpse something of the Masai way of life. After stopping at the entrance gate, where there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, we will drive around the rim of the Crater itself, and from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalos. Finally we descend into the crater. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos and leopards (if you are lucky).

After wonderful impressions of Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, a true safari highlight is still waiting for us: Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is a wonderful national park which offers some excellent wildlife. It is mostly famous for its large elephant population, also known as the “elephant playground”. It is shaped by huge baobab trees and offers great sceneries. Generally, in the dry season, Tarangire comes alive as wildlife and birdlife congregate on the Tarangire River, which is a permanent source of water.
After a full day of safari game drive, we return to Arusha for overnight.
