Your balloon safari starts with a pick-up from your lodge very early in the morning, before sunrise. On your way to the site, you might spot some nocturnal animals making their rounds. As the balloon is inflated, you will have a briefing with your pilot. Then it’s time to go! The balloon is launched into the sky and your once in a lifetime experience starts. The balloon can go as high as 1000ft giving you a panorama view of the Serengeti. As the sun rises, the vast animal kingdom with its breathtaking landscapes becomes more visible. As you ascend you begin to see herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelope and you can even spot some hungry lions starting their day. The balloon safari will take you to places where no jeep can reach. At some point, the pilot will fly lower for you to have a closer look at the majestic animals. The plains allow you to have a wide range of views and you can observe the animals morning routine closely. The ride takes approximately 1.5 hours. Upon landing, you will be welcomed with a nice glass of champagne and a delicious bush breakfast in the middle of nature, followed by a game drive back to your lodge. Bring your binoculars and warm clothes for the chilly morning. It’s an experience you will forever remember.
